Winner of the National Stimulus Program of Colombia’s Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge.

What this platform is

It is a digital heritage ecosystem devoted to preserving, researching, sharing and circulating the cultural heritage of the Cuadrillas of San Martín de los Llanos. It brings together collective memory, research, documentary film, textile conservation, 3D modeling, contemporary art, audiovisual archive and community participation.

The museum is its central experience, and the platform is designed to grow module by module.

This is the Project and Credits Room.

Here we recognize the processes and the people who made La Casa de los Trajes Vivos possible: the community sessions, the records, the voices of the bearers, the documentary, the digital archive, the 3D modeling, the research and the work of everyone involved.

This museum is not born of a single point of view. It is built with many hands, many kinds of knowledge and many ways of caring for memory.

The room closes the tour by presenting the project’s results, but it also leaves an invitation open: to keep researching, transmitting and protecting the heritage of the Cuadrillas of San Martín.

How memory is cared for

Digitizing a piece does not, on its own, authorize its publication or its sale.

The platform documents and respects

  • Authorship and credits.
  • Consents and publication authorizations.
  • Ownership of photographs, videos, music and models.
  • Contributions from bearers, artisans and families.
  • Provenance of objects and documentary sources.
  • Restrictions on use, reproduction and sale.
  • Protection of visitors’ personal data.

Technology should help preserve and share memory, not take it out of context or take it over.
